Being the Observer

With a full moon over, and Mercury retrograde in full swing I am reminding myself to stay grounded and centred. I am one of those people who can not sleep well the day prior to a full moon, as well as the day of and the day after the full moon. It took me until I was in my mid twenties and working in a high school full of teens, to realize that the full moon does indeed affect people en masse (ask anyone working in an ER, Psych ward, or emergency services); and I was not immune. Having realized that I was affected regardless of whether I was aware of it being a full moon or not, has helped and led me to take the observer role in circumstances where people are spewing out limiting beliefs in regards to certain events.

Mercury in retrograde is one such event that gets hyped up to the point of people starting to believe there is no point to doing much of anything in a retrograde - many seem to want to become a turtle pulling into their shell. I confess, I used to take that stance and stress. When one pays attention it becomes very obvious something is afoot - in my town it seems the Wal Mart tills/computers always go awry in a Mercury retrograde time frame. I also find it isn't just myself I must have patience with, but other people. It seems a time where I (a person huge on communication) can work at making myself clear - speaking simply, repeating simple statements if needed. Yet in spite of my efforts, some of the people I interact with will at times hear something entirely different than what I am saying. When it comes to computers and technology, I admit my resolve to not retreat into my shell starts to falter.

What this has all taught me is that the worst thing I can do is buy into limiting beliefs and all worst case scenarios. We are living in a time where Doomsday predictions abound, and programming from Dystopian movies could easily put everyone into a learned helplessness mode looking at world leaders' dystopian views and actions. Throw into that the fact that the mega corporations are utilizing AI and other means to monitor us, to the point where it seems our phones are passing our thoughts along-causing ads (that mirror our thoughts and conversations) to pop up, and fears can become triggered for some. Thetahealing has taught me that the worst thing any person can do is buy into fears and limiting beliefs. The best thing a person can do is release those fears and limiting beliefs. It is most freeing, and easily pulls a person out of fight or flight mode. At that point a person can think more clearly, and sleep better. The key is to not get hooked into the drama.

All in all, when one stays out of the drama, spends more time off of social media and TV programming, and interacts with people who do so as well, it is easier to become more of an observer. From the observer standpoint, it is then easier to see the patterns of thinking and behavior all around us - as well as the influences feeding it all. From the observer standpoint a person can see retrograde effects, full moon effects, etc; and one can also see that it does not affect free will unless we allow it to by buying into set beliefs on topics that are not 100 percent understood. It is human nature to try to have an understanding of things and then develop patterns of behavior to deal with such things. This doesn't mean that rules of behavior are correct, or that such rules should be imposed upon others. Unfortunately the New Age world is just like some religions, in how it can limit peoples' understanding and discernment by saying what one can and can't do, as well as the "unavoidable consequences" of some missed out ritual, or leader to follow.

With all of this in mind, the mind indeed is a powerful tool. Be the observer of people telling you the "only way to manifest", the rituals needed to give some sort of otherwise unavailable power, or "the way to think". Is it their belief, or is it part of an agenda? Sometimes it's simply someone who is good, but doesn't trust themselves and hasn't discerned the information they've been taught. They simply don't know more, and they don't know better. To buy into other peoples' imposed beliefs, and behaviors, is to give away your power (or it gives the people imposing upon you power, either way it's not for the best). It's a learning process for everyone. If you can remain more an observer, yet heart centred (where your divine connection resides), you can more easily determine what the truth of a situation is. Whether it's a retrograde, Astrology, a full moon, world events, or otherwise; observing the information at hand while staying centred, discerning, intuitive, and positive will serve you in navigating any upheaval at hand. The most important thing is do not underestimate the power of good. Do not underestimate your own power to do good. Every individual has way more ability than they give themselves credit for - when you realize that, you realize you are more free than you have been taught to believe :)
